The Electric Motion Escape R is an automatic electric dirt bike. MSRP: $11,699

The French manufacturer of electric bikes made this model called Escape R to provide an electric version of dirt bike for everyone that loves the sport but hates the noise of raging motors. It may seem blasphemy owning a dirt bike that makes no noise, but times are changing, and so are bikers.

Anyhow, the EM Escape R has a powerful engine of 125cc, which can produce a speed of up 44MPH. The best thing about it is that you can take it out of the factory and get it straight to the race track. It is made perfectly for competition with all the needed equipment.

The standard model has 8HP, but if you ask the manufacturer for more power, they will provide a model of up to 20HP, something truly remarkable. You can go out on the track with the rest of the raging motors and win without making a sound.

If you are considering the EM ESCAPE “R” as a trial bike, it has an revolutionary hydraulic clutch (first on electric dirt bikes) that makes it possible to climb over any obstacles that were never possible on an electric trials bike. More about trials dirt bikes here.

KTM Freeride E-XC

2023 KTM Freeride E-XC
I have personally tested the KTM Freeride E-XC and I can say it is the closest thing to a real dirt bike. MSRP $ 11,299 plus $ 485 freight.

There’s an entire cult around the Austrian bike manufacturer KTM, and some people simply love their work. For everyone that prefers the KTM over other products, this is a great deal for them. The KTM Freeride E-XC is fully electrical and has a diverse riding opportunity.

The company launched this one as the adult version of the same bike made for kids, called FreeRide SX-E 5. So if you like an KTM electric dirt bike for your kid that might be a good option to consider.

The Freeride E-XC has a more powerful engine and can be used for both the track and for freeriding around the surrounding off-road terrain.

It uses a direct-drive gear change, which is entirely clutchless. There’s a 24HP engine and a 3.9 kWh power to back up its work. The battery is suitable for a solid 2-hour drive in any condition, and when it dies, you can recharge it completely with the charger that comes with it in around two hours. Have a drink, get some rest, and you’ll be ready for round two.

Since I tested the Freeride E-XC in early 2020, there aren’t any changes made for the model 2023 that are worth mentioning. Keep in mind it still requires a 220v socket.

Honda CRF110F

2023 Honda CRF110F
The only red automatic dirt bike – Honda CRF110F. It has base MSRP of $2,599 and a destination charge of $200.

Honda is an integral part of the Japanese quartet of famous dirt bike manufacturers, and these guys pay attention to trends and modern bike solutions. That’s why they created the CRF110F, making it an incredibly good model for everyone that loves automatic bikes.

The engine is powerful enough to handle the rough terrain, and the gears are enough to handle different speeds. However, just putting in third is enough to do the job for those who are not excited about clicking through different gears. It will easily drive through anything.

The seat is high enough for teens to feel comfortable. Honda has a smaller version of this bike called CRF50F, which is made for kids, so if you or your child started your dirt biking career with this one, it’s a logical transformation to go to the stronger and bigger version called 110F.

The electric dirt bike manufacturer goes a long way back. They first started production back in 2006, and now they’ve mastered their craft. The Zero FX is known to be excellent for riding over rocks and dirt because it has amazing suspension. At the same time, the 46HP engine can reach speeds of up to 85 MPH, which also makes it perfect for driving over paved roads, for example.

Cake Kalk OR

Cake Kalk OR
The Kalk OR is a lightweight and powerful off-road dirt bike from the Swedish company Cake. Costs around $15,000

How about the Kalk OR model from the Swedish company Cake. These guys are relatively new on the market, but they are standing out with their impressive, so to say, Scandinavian design of the electric dirt bike that is capable of doing so much more than off-road experience.

This automatic transmission dirt bike is built and is suitable for driving both around the city and off-road tracks. You can get on it at home and go to the location without any problems. The maximum speed of 29 MPH is acceptable for an electric bike. It is not something you’d be happy to have when you’re racing the big guys, though.

The battery is replaceable, and you can use two of them for extended enjoyment. Simply take off the old one and change it with the new one. Recharge both when you get home. The engine is 11KW and is powered by a 51.8 volt, 50Ah, 2.6kWh, battery. Together with the 208 Lbs of weight, it provides a decent torque.

The KTM 50 SX is the ultimate automatic dirt bike for your kid racing on the track, featuring automatic transmission and robust power. Costs around $4,699.00.

The KTM 50 SX is a perfect bike for teens and adults that are first getting on a dirt bike. It has a 2-stroke 50cc engine with a single-speed automatic transmission, which means that it will not provide uncontrollable power, and there’s no need for changing gears.

It is the ultimate best bike for everyone that wants to feel the magic of off-road biking and get a chance to experience how it feels like being on track. At the same time, the saddle is high enough to feel comfortable, but the power is nowhere near the actual traditional dirt bikes.

Although we say this is a perfect adult beginner bike, it is actually most commonly used for kid racing. Ambitious young racers are going to have so much fun with this 2-stroke, no-gear bike that is big and powerful enough for the kids’ tracks.

Conclusion

These ten models are all made either fully electrical or with an automatic clutch, which means there’s no standard gear shifting. They are excellent for beginner adults or kids that have a hard time shifting through gears.

Some people simply prefer this type of dirt biking more, while others can’t understand where the joy is. I am not here to judge – as I think everyone should use what they feel like best for them. Go through every model and see the various features. Choose the one that seems like the best fit for you personally. There’s something for everyone, so have patience and do your research.
