What’s my opinion of the Leatt 5.5 FlexLock Endro Boot?

So far I think Leatt knocked it out of the park with a boot with high-end safety features and tons of comfort, and man they are good-looking boots.

We recently tested the Leatt 5.5 FlexLock Enduro Boots and were impressed with their outstanding comfort and first-class fit, even for those with wide feet. Our honest feedback as a reviewer is that the SlideLock system, an auto-locking one-way sliding closure at the top of the boot, ensured a secure fit and allowed for quick adjustments during rides. The breathable mesh 3D liner with anti-slip reinforcement also provided zero heel lift and enhanced overall comfort during long rides.

One standout feature we tried was the innovative FlexLock System, which allowed for adjustable lower boot flex to cater to personal preferences and riding conditions. During our analysis, we found that the LockOut feature provided up to 37% reduction of ankle forces and up to 35% reduction of forces to the knee by locking out sideward ankle movement, making these boots highly effective in preventing hyperextension and hyperflexion injuries.

Regarding protection, the Leatt 5.5 FlexLock Enduro Boots did not disappoint. The reinforced heel and toe boxes, ankle and shin guards, and 3D-shaped impact foam over the ankles provided added protection. The heel grip ankle design ensured stability when riding on your toes, while the low-profile toe-box made gear shifting easy.

The Enduro pattern sole provided a firm grip on the bike, while the dual-zone hardness and steel shank reinforcement provided optimal protection and comfort. We also appreciated the extended foot peg riding zone, which catered to arch and on-the-toes riding styles, making these boots versatile and suitable for different riding techniques.

Additionally, the inside of the boot was flat and grippy, providing an excellent bike feel and enhancing the overall off-road riding experience. The Forged aluminum buckles with the Overlock system and stainless steel base also offered a secure closure system, ensuring the boots stayed in place during rides.
