If you are like me….you live and breathe dirt bikes. This means you probably have had multiple different dirt bikes in your garage.
However, buying dirt bikes brand new tends to be costly.
While I have bought a few dirt bikes new I mostly buy dirt bikes on the used market.
I typically find and buy a used dirt bike with lower hours and ride it for 1 – 2 years.
However, during that time I am always looking at the local classifieds for a better lower hour bike.
Sometimes this process takes a couple of months or years.
During that time I usually set aside each month some man money to pay for my dirt bike upgrade.
So here is my Strategy on buying dirt bikes
- Be patient / Always looking
- Set money aside each month
- Watch for a deal
- Low Hours
I also have the luxury of being pretty well connected in the dirt bike community and a LOT of my last few bikes has come from Kyle at Dirtbike Channel.
Regardless of where I get them, this method has worked great for me.
As you can see with the graphics kit this 2018 KTM 250 XC came from Kyle and it had like 8 hours on it.
To date, the 2018 KTM 250 XC has been my favorite dirt bike of choice.
However, I decided that I would like to try a new bike. So, I was able to find a deal through Kyle on a used 2020 KTM 250 XC TPI in Idaho.
This is the only reason why I am selling My 2020 KTM 250XC TPI. Sometimes deal happen fast and sometimes they happen slowly.
But always stay on the hunt and be patient
